Gay couple’s divorce might get messy
A very prominent gay couple who had a lavish wedding, which cost in the tens of thousands of dollars, is now heading to divorce court, and it’s going to get messy. The younger of the two got caught with a well-known fitness trainer when the other came home early. They both have attorneys and are threatening each other with their personal business, and for one of them, if it went public, it would be very embarrassing. The younger of the two wants half of everything and will not settle for anything less. Let this be a word to the wise…can you say prenup?
The censorship of a gay writer
Recently, a local gay writer wrote a column that was pretty controversial and received a lot of angry, negative feedback. Actually, he just kind of went overboard and got somewhat in the ‘un-politically correct’ area. What is more upsetting and wrong to me is that a certain local civil rights group pressured him to resign because of his column. Isn’t this America? There is the First Amendment. We should all be more upset that he was forced to resign. This, to me, is censorship. They lost a good man and a hard worker.
Club GaGa gags!
Well there isn’t going to be a monthly Club GaGa gay club at the AEG San Diego Sports Arena after all. Seems the well known gay business owner who was launching it – he even gave me a private tour of the club and it’s awesome – got caught up in some major red tape and differences with the Sports Arena management. He isn’t happy, but right now he’s pretty sensitive over the situation, and he’s not talking too much or giving too many details. Trust me, it was going to be great and lots of money was going to be put into these monthly gay parties. For now, that gorgeous nightclub in the arena will remain totally straight.
James Hartline article coming out soon
Not long ago, I reported on a local news source working on a complete expose on ex-gay, now anti-gay activist James Hartline with some explosive interviews with ex-prison cell mates, drug dealers and bath house tricks. I hear it will be ready early next year!
Adam Lambert to perform at gay charity event?
Rumors are all over town about music diva Adam Lambert. He is suppose to be a special guest performer at an upcoming gay or AIDS charity event in his hometown of San Diego. Well, the truth is that there are some on-going talks with Lambert’s people but nothing, as of yet, is set in stone.
Vegas!
Well I spent about five days in Las Vegas for a national board meeting, and boy has the economy hit this party city in a major way. City officials told me that at times their hotels are 60 percent off! But let me tell you, the GLBT community in Vegas is growing, and there are about ten gay bars now, and their gay center recently had its first Gala event. It was very successful. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is in a very tight race for re-election. Senator Reid officially welcomed the recent National Equality March on Washington at this D.C. office. But in Las Vegas, there are bargains galore, and the restaurants are great…and so is Cher!
Christmas wreath auction at Martinis
This coming Monday night at Martinis Above Fourth (Dec. 14) is its sixth annual charity auction with fabulous Christmas wreaths starting at 7PM. This is always a lot of fun, and there will be some supper hot Rufskin models! I love this event because it’s always a big, fun crowd and a major good cause. I hope to see you all at Martini’s this coming Monday night!

The censorship of the gay writer in your peiece is incorrect. Arlon Staggs resigned of his own volition, anything said to the contrary is false and I have the documentation to prove it.
Stampp, if you read the post in its entirety, it clearly states “the writer received a lot of angry, negative feedback.” It further states that a “local civil rights group pressured him to resign because of his column.” How can YOU prove that his being or feeling censored is invalid? And further, how can YOU prove that the pressure he received from said group didn’t directly affect his decision to resign? The post does not state he was fired because of it. What’s clearly stated is that HE resigned because of pressure he received from said civil rights group. I’m genuinely interested in seeing what documentation you have to prove otherwise.
Aaaron:
I will take this offline.
I smell a LAWSUIT in the making!!!! You go Stampp!!!!
