Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence Issue Statement Regarding Pride

The San Diego Sisters’ Official Statement to the San Diego Pride Board of Directors
The San Diego Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence would like to thank San Diego Pride for its years of service.
Through the unprecedented and questionable use of charitable funds and apparent dismissal of a perceived whistle-blowing employee, The San Diego Sisters have lost trust in the effectiveness of the current San Diego Pride Board of Directors.
The Sisters implore the sitting Board Members to return the operation of San Diego Pride to a manner in compliance with their filed bylaws and ask that once this is accomplished, that the current Board Members resign.
The San Diego Sisters believe this act would restore faith and trust in San Diego Pride.

The town hall meeting last night was a waste of everyone’s time. It’s already been clearly established in the community that we wanted the board’s resignation. The purpose of the meeting should have led to real solutions as to how we can move forward, establishing a public task force, etc. Everyone standing up to the mike to state for the record that the 5k was shameful was a waste of everyone’s time, as well as the potential of what the town hall could have been.
