Gloria Johnson
I can’t think of a minute I’ve spent in San Diego that I didn’t know who Gloria Johnson was. You’ll see her everywhere, walking precincts, at fundraisers, at Golden Hall on election night. Her energy is as bountiful as her commitment to activism. She’s a lesbian activist who became active in the feminist movement in the 70’s to eventually working with the ERA. A member of the San Diego Democratic Club where she has served as president and currently the political relations chair. She is the Action Vice President of the National Organization for Women California and Co-President of San Diego County NOW. A member of the First Unitarian Universalist Church, Gloria devotes her time to working on both women’s and LGBT equal rights issues.
