On Tuesday, March 30 at 6PM, Dining Out for Life ® San Diego will kick-off its fourth ‘Dine Out – Fight AIDS’ annual fundraiser during the celebratory Appetizer launch event, hosted by Hold It Contemporary Home. Restaurateurs, sponsors, volunteer Ambassadors and VIP guests will gather for a revealing of the complete list of this year’s participating ‘dine out’ destinations while enjoying cocktails and hors d’oeuvres prepared by San Diego’s best chefs.

Dining Out for Life® takes place on Thursday, April 29, 2010. More than 100 participating restaurants, bars, coffee houses and nightclubs in San Diego will donate a minimum of 25% of sales to The Center’s HIV/AIDS services and prevention programs.

Hold It Contemporary Home, Southern California’s leading European contemporary and modern home décor resource and design store located in Mission Valley, creates the perfect setting for this exclusive event.

Joining Hold It on this year’s Dining Out For Life Host Committee is celebrity chef and local out, gay personality Rich Sweeney from Bravo TV’s hit reality show Top Chef, the good folks at Nika Water whose purified bottle water products help provide clean water to the world’s most impoverished communities and top PR agency J Public Relations.

J Public Relations (JPR) joined the Dining Out For Life event team three years ago, having already been active in the HIV and AIDS community through involvement with numerous other local organizations including AIDS Walk and Mama’s Kitchen. “As local entrepreneurs, we are committed to our community,” states Jamie Lynn Sigler, co-founder and partner of JPR. “The fight against AIDS and HIV is particularly close to our hearts. Many JPR team members have friends and family who are affected by the disease. So, when the opportunity came our way to get involved with Dining Out For Life, there was no question – we were in.” JPR Co-Founder and Partner Kim Julin Guyader added, “as an agency, we are already so entrenched in the food and restaurant scene that we knew we could help make a difference, get restaurants involved and continue spreading the word on how others can fight HIV/AIDS in San Diego simply by dining out.”

Chef Rich Sweeney

“There is still no cure for HIV and AIDS,” said Chef Rich Sweeney. “As a culinary professional, I would be remiss by not supporting an event that affects not just those closest to me, but everyone around the world. This is my second year being involved with Dining Out For Life and, to me, there’s no better, easier way to positively impact the fight against this pandemic than by dining out for breakfast, lunch and dinner on April 29.”
