Nine-month passenger results
Pulkovo in Saint Petersburg handled 15.6 million passengers in January–September 2026, down 2% from 15.9 million, its operator told Interfax on 2 October. International traffic rose 8% to 3.92 million.

First-quarter figures: April report
Vedomosti North-West reported on 17 April that Pulkovo had handled more than four million passengers in January–March 2026, citing Saint Petersburg vice-governor Kirill Polyakov. Around three million travelled domestically; leading routes included Moscow, Kaliningrad, Yekaterinburg, Kazan and Sochi. International traffic reached one million, 15% higher than in the same quarter of 2025. Istanbul traffic grew 54%, while Sharm el-Sheikh rose 44%. The report also recorded 20.8 million passengers for the full year 2025 and the airport's second place among Russian airports by traffic. Foreign-tourist passenger numbers increased 3.5% in 2025.
Route network in the first half
The airport's 13 July statement put January–June 2026 traffic at almost 9.4 million passengers, including more than seven million on domestic routes. Moscow, Kaliningrad, Kazan, Sochi and Novosibirsk were the five leading domestic destinations. Istanbul, Antalya, Minsk, Tashkent and Sharm el-Sheikh led internationally. First-half traffic to Hurghada rose 45%, Sharm el-Sheikh 43%, Tashkent 37% and Istanbul 35%, compared with January–June 2025. New routes opened to Casablanca, Shymkent and Ankara. From 11 July, the Saint Petersburg–Istanbul service frequency increased from four to five flights weekly.
Summer passenger mix
In its 2 September statement, Pulkovo reported 6.34 million passengers during June–August 2026, matching the previous summer's record. Domestic traffic was 4.71 million; Moscow, Kaliningrad, Yekaterinburg, Sochi and Novosibirsk led the route ranking. Gelendzhik traffic grew ninefold, Mineralnye Vody 14% and Tyumen 11%; Krasnodar and Nalchik also recorded growth. International summer traffic rose 9% to 1.63 million. Antalya, Istanbul, Minsk, Yerevan and Hurghada were the leading foreign destinations. Astana traffic doubled, Sharm el-Sheikh increased 55% and Hurghada 62%. The airport served almost 5.8 million adults and 578,800 children during the summer.
