The new Malaysian hub
Atlas Copco opened its integrated hub in Alam Impian, Shah Alam, on 24 April 2026, Bernama reported on 28 April. General manager Khalid Shaikh said the Malaysian team had grown beyond 250 employees and planned 80–100 additional service, sales and marketing positions over five years.

Customer engagement in Kuantan
The Malaysian operation held its East Coast Customer Day at Zenith Hotel Kuantan on 9 March 2023. According to its account, more than 100 customers attended from petrochemicals, electronics, biochemicals, cement, oil and gas, and food and beverages. Participants rotated through eight presentation stations, with topics including performance optimisation, air quality, fluctuating demand, reliability, nitrogen and oxygen solutions, and continuous availability. The team presented its equipment and services and answered questions about machine performance. Shaikh described lower energy consumption and carbon emissions as the event's goals.
The October 2023 collaboration
On 4 October 2023, Atlas Copco Malaysia joined ABB Malaysia, Daikin Malaysia and Business Sweden in signing a memorandum with the Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Corporation. The National Energy Efficiency Collaboration covered equipment standards, building retrofits, stakeholder dialogues and knowledge partnerships. Shaikh identified recovering and recycling energy as an approach through which Atlas Copco and its industrial partners could support local industries.
The collaboration's 2024 conference
The second National Energy Efficiency Conference took place at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on 9 October 2024. Atlas Copco's account reported more than 200 participants. Discussions covered technologies for industrial energy savings, the conditions needed to adopt efficient equipment, and measures supporting companies' transition. The collaboration welcomed Schaeffler Malaysia as a member and added ten companies as energy-efficiency champions. Their stated role was to promote energy-saving practices and technologies. Business Sweden trade commissioner Ludvig Hermansson called for public and private investment to prioritise energy efficiency; his statement linked it to potential savings and emissions reductions.
